Polish Constitution Day Parade - Saturday, May 4, 2024On a beautiful day on the lakefront of Chicago, Third Vice President Roman Drewniak of the Advocates Society, led an excellent showing of Members and friends in the Polish Constitution Day Parade. The Advocates joined the many organizations of Polonia, including the Polish American Police Association, the Legion of Young Polish Women, The Polish Highlanders, the Polish American Medical Society, the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, the Polish National Alliance, and many others, including representatives of Polish and local government. The event celebrated the world’s second oldest constitution behind that of the United States. |
Brunch Hosted by the Chicago Society of the Polish National Alliance - Saturday, May 4, 2024
Various members of the Advocates Society participated in the brunch hosted by the Chicago Society of the Polish National Alliance at the Hilton on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, before the parade that celebrated the Polish Constitution in May 4, 2024. Congratulations go to Advocates Society Award of Merit winner Marta Almodovar, who helped organize the event and served as the Co-Mistress/Master of the Ceremony. In attendance were members of the Polish government, Chief Judge Timothy Evans of Cook County, and the Past Advocates Society President Steve Rakowski, who serves as the chairman of the board of the Polish American Association, which helps countless individuals in Chicagoland.
Luncheon Hosted by the Polish American Police Association - Saturday, May 4, 2024After the Polish Constitution Day Parade, Members of the Advocates Society were hosted by the Polish American Police Association at a luncheon at the FOP hall on Washington Street in the West Loop of Chicago. Polish food and beverage were served. Then to conclude the activities of the day, Members were hosted with dance and a Chopin recital at Grant Park just east of Michigan Avenue at 11th Street, where a Foundation is building a monument to the famous Polish composer. |
